Setting up a play4me.com.au account

If this is your first time shopping at play4me.com.au you will need to set up a new account. All customers require an account to purchase.

It only takes a couple of minutes and once registered you can start shopping straight away and it will save you time when you order in the future.

  • Select the My Acount button located in the top right hand corner of the main tool bar, alternatively you can go here: My Account
  • You will be asked to choose a username & password and delivery address details.
  • Play4me customers have various functions available which can be accessed through your account page and set up (see What is section)
  • Once you have set up your account you will be required to log in before you can go shopping.
  • You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been successfully set up.
  • Every time you place an online order in the future, just enter your username and password into the Login section and you are ready to order.
  • Please note: All information provided by customers is stored on our secure server and only used to enhance your shopping experience

How To Shop

Imagine as you search for a product that you are carrying a shopping cart in which you can place the products you'd like to buy. When you find a product you like, click on the 'Add to Cart' button and that product will be placed in your Shopping Cart. Your shopping cart will appear on the right had side of the page and display product you have added. At any time you can click on this box and it will take you directly to the shopping cart page.

What if I change my mind?
After you click 'Add to Cart', your Shopping Cart Contents will be displayed. On this page you can:

  • Change the quantity of the product(s) in your Cart
  • View the product(s) you have chosen
  • Take the product(s) out of your Cart by clicking on 'Remove' and then 'Update'
Click 'Continue Shopping' to choose more products and add them to your Shopping Cart.

What happens when I've finished shopping?
When you've finished choosing, click the 'Pay Now' button underneath your Shopping Cart Contents. You will then be asked to confirm your delivery address, select a payment option and then confirm your order. (Click here to see payment options)

Receipt & order confirmation.
At the end of the payment process you will be presented with a confirmation screen containing your receipt number. This page can be printed for your reference. You will also be sent an email confirming this receipt number as soon as your order has been finalised.

Before you proceed to the payment process, you may be given a security message by your Internet browser. This is to advise you that the play4me.com.au payment process is secure, and cannot be viewed by anybody else. Click OK to Continue.

Delivery locations & delivery costs

Once you have selected your products, it's time to tell us where you want them sent. Your account address will be automatically saved in the delivery details section for you to select. However, if you are sending to an alternative address you just need to enter the new address and you can also save that address for future reference.

Whomever you are buying for, play4me.com.au will deliver most items to any address in the following countries:

Free Postage Qualifications
When you order or pre order certain products on play4me.com.au you may receive free postage within Australia on that item.

How do you know if an item receives free postage?

When you see an icon on the product page that looks like this: Free Postage

If you purchase an item that qualifies for free postage but your order also contains one or more ineligible free postage items, you'll be charged delivery costs for those ineligible items as per our usual delivery costs.

Our free delivery currently applies to pre ordered (future releases) products and or when you order an item that is in stock along with one or more other items.

It excludes the following formats: CD Singles and Books. We reserve the right to end or change this free postage offer at any time.

We believe that we have aligned ourselves with excellent delivery partners, but there may be times when, despite their best efforts, parcels are delayed in the delivery process. We will always endeavour to work with our delivery partners to ensure prompt arrival of your products.

Terms and Conditions - Delivery

STANDARD WITH INSURANCE
Standard delivery with insurance guarantees receipt of your parcel if the parcel has legitimately been lost, stolen or simply not arrived. If after lodging an enquiry with Australia Post we find that your parcel has legitimately been lost we will replace and resend the missing items if you've chosen delivery option as STANDARD WITH INSURANCE. The lost parcel enquiry may take up to 7 days to be completed. The cost of insurance is $0.50 per format ordered.

Despatch times & product availability

Next to every product and on the product page we display an availability status and estimated delivery. Not all products are kept in our Melbourne fulfilment centre, so certain items cannot be despatched the day they are ordered. Please note that despatch times are estimated and are subject to change and begin once the order has been paid for in full.

In-stock now: Usually ships within 24 hours.

To Order: This product is not currently in stock. Further down the page we give you the estimated despatch times - eg: Availability: Estimated despatch 5-10 days after ordering.

Pre Order: This product has not been released as yet and will display a future date.

Release Dates: We do our best to supply and up date you with the most current information available at the time from our suppliers; however, product release dates are subject to change at short notice.

Limited Stock Available: When you see a product with this stock availability it means the product is no longer available from our suppliers, but we still have limited stock available for sale.

You are unable to order more than the stock we have available. We will only accept immediate payment for this item by credit card. Offline payments will not be accepted due to limited stock levels and the time delay involved.

Import Product Deliveries: An import title is sourced from an overseas supplier that may not be readily available in Australia.

Delivery times are estimates only and accordingly could take longer as they are being sourced internationally. We will always give you an estimate on delivery on the product page and do our best to deliver within this time frame however delays can sometimes occur.

Despatch times

If a product is not in stock despatch times may differ on various products. Estimated turnaround depends on the supplier's performance and reliability.

If you select a number of products and one of them cannot be posted until later than the others, we use our discression to part ship at no extra cost to our customers.

Once we have despatched from our fulfilment centre, we estimate the following delivery times.

Vic - 1-2 days
NSW - 2-3 days
QLD - 3- 4 days
SA - 2- 3 days
WA - 3-4 days
NT - 4-5 days
TAS - 2-3 days

Payment options

When you are ready to finalise payment on your purchase, a number of options are available. Payment options include, Credit Card, Play4me Gift Voucher, phone or fax details or Australia Post Money Order

All orders must be prepaid. If we are unable to fulfil an item we will refund you immediately.

Credit card

Purchasing online with your credit card is the simplest and most convenient way of shopping. Simply fill in your details and we bill the purchase to your account.

Play4me gift vouchers

You may purchase any items that are greater than the value of your Gift Voucher by using your credit card to cover the additional cost.

Play4me customers can track the balance of any Gift Vouchers they may have in My Account.

play4me.com.au Online Voucher
If you have received an Online Play4me Gift Voucher, be it on email or paper, you can redeem it by purchasing anything apart from other Gift Vouchers.

Online vouchers will have 16 characters.

Simply select the 'Use Online Gift Voucher' option in the payment section, enter the voucher code and your email address and we will process the payment. (If you have received your play4me.com.au Gift Voucher by email - you must use this email address for security reasons).

Offline payment

If you are still not comfortable purchasing online, that's fine. Select the 'Offline Payment by Phone or Fax' option on the Payment page. A page will appear with the details of your order. Print this page out and choose your preferred payment option.

  • Phone - call 03 9412 3598 - you can talk to one of our Customer Experience representatives, who will gladly take your credit card details over the phone
  • Send in your money order (we do not accept personal cheques or international money orders)
