* Debut album from up and coming American singer/songwriter Jeremy Jay, who over the last twelve months has charmed critics and fans alike.
* A Place Where We Could Go is a statement of fiction and fact, exploring the shadowy depths of an attitude: the romance of life without the people and things that pull down the corners; create your own world. Very excited about music, Jeremy's writing is influenced by dreams and the more fantastic surrealist sensibility linked with the French New Wave. The Art deco era storybook romance of the movies like "Our Modern Maidens" & "My Life To Live" held a special fascination.
* Jay draws on such esoteric yet melody-minded songwriters of the past as Harry Nilsson and Bill Fay (with a little bit of post-punk disaffection thrown in for good measure). And while he's no throwback act, it's not hard to imagine a tune of his gracing the same classic film soundtracks populated by Simon and Garfunkel and Cat Stevens.
* The debut album also has a strong '50s Rock n' Roll sensibility happening; Buddy Holly is one of Jeremy's favorite singers along, with Richie Valens and '60s era Francois Hardy
* On the surface, his performances seem like that a pop singer: dancing, singing and playing guitar. Yet he's so illusive. If you reach out to grab him you wouldn't touch anything; all you see is a character from the Dream World. He's pure Storybook
