BLITZEN TRAPPER came to prominence for their 2007 album 'Wild Mountain Nation', of which the title track was named the #98 best songs of that year. Soon signing with Sub Pop, the band toured Australia in 2009, before recording 'American Goldwing' amidst a stint playing at iconic festivals such as LOLLAPALOOZA and NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL. The band have teamed up with TCHAD BLAKE (TOM WAITS, THE BLACK KEYS) and GREGG WILLIAMS to coproduce and mix on all tracks, marking the first record the band have created with outside influence. Vocalist ERIC EARLEY describes the album "It's me trying to hazard a true American nostalgia. The roughness of rock and roll the earthiness of these songs make you want to get loaded and get in a fight, or find a girl and fall in love forever, simultaneously".
