Sensory Projects is very proud to present 'The Ancients 2'. 'The Ancients 2' is the follow up to The Ancients self titled full-length,
released in 2009 through revered UK label Moteer. 'The Ancients 2' is filled with irrationally clever pop songwriting wrapped around sinuous rock. Recorded by Julian Patterson (Mum Smokes/Minimum Chips) and The Ancients, and mastered by Casey Rice (Tortoise, The Dirty Three, MUM SMOKES..) The album is wise, playful, lyrically surreal and irrevocably memorable. From the
neo-pop of 'Street Funk' to the glazed highway folk of 'The Rambler', 'The Ancients 2' never falters. A local re-issue of the Moteer release with the addition of previously unreleased material from The Ancients is planned for 2011. For now though, we can all bask in the genius that is 'The Ancients 2' ! The Ancients are: Georgina Ward, Jonathan Michell, Mark Rodda, and Raquel Sodier.
Trivia: Jon Michell formed MUM SMOKES, Raquel Sodier plays drums with Jens Lekman and just played in front of 25,000 people in Sweden, Mark Rodda also did the artwork for MUM SMOKES' Easy/House Music and Railroads Chasms and Fantasies.
