Recent visitor to these shores, Andrew Bird made a huge impact at his shows opening for Joanna Newsom and his own headline shows last month. So much so that after each show, Andrew was selling between 50 to 100 records each night -probably the best response the kids at Spunk have had for one of their artists!

Since the release of the Mysterious Production Of Eggs, Andrew Bird has become hugely popular with college kids in the states. He plays large auditoriums across the country and regularly sells them out. He has the whole independent community behind him. The main internet sites like Pitchfork are totally frothing for his next record!

Armchair Apocrypha was recorded mainly in Minneapolis and includes a cast of collaborators including Drummer and keyboard player Martin Dosh, and multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Ylvisaker.

It is an album that sums up where Andrew's career has taken him, yet is very much of his artistic present.

Andrew is playing Coachella in May before heading around the world on tour - 90 cities in 90 days!
