Rarely has an unknown artist received such a positive reaction from Australian audiences as Sweden's Jose Gonzalez. Hailed as the current top singer/songwriter in his native country, the son of Argentinean immigrants (hence the most 'un-Nordic' name) is a Swedish Grammy award winner & gold selling artist for his debut album 'Veneer'.

Shock is proud to release this Australian exclusive release, coinciding with his first Australian tour in November.

All 8 tracks on this Tour CD do not appear on the 'Veneer' album, all of them never having been available in Australia. They are taken from various singles released in Sweden on the Imperial Recordings label and one from the Kass label.

Amongst the tracks is his version of the Joy Division track 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', a sacred track if ever there was one, but Jose manages to bring his own distinctive touch to it without detracting in the slightest from one of the all-time great tunes.

He also breathes new life into the Stock/Aiken/Waterman-penned track 'Hand On Your Heart' that was a huge hit for own very own superstar Kylie Minogue in 1989.

And the track 'Heartbeats' gets an 80s makeover in the 'Rocket Boy' remix to finish off an EP that will be highly sought after here. Jose's live shows are going to have a huge impression on audiences here amnd this Tour CD is the perfect link to the new album due in 2006.
