How are you? Good? Me? Im fine, thanks. In fact, Im more than fine, Im fuckin great! Why.I hear you ask? Well, for a start Ive been in this game for 27 years now - the entertainment industry that is yknow the music caper, show biz. That alone is reason enough for me to be pleased with myself. But apart from what a great life Ive had, It means Ive now been around long enough to have my own greatest hits collection; well, lets call it a best of. a retrospective of my most important works or even, a bunch of songs that Ive sung a thousand times and can still stand hearing, OR, songs that Ive noticed people seem to like more than others over the years... Anyway, I think you get the picture.
You probably know of my work with ARIA award winning groove and roots specialists The Cruel Sea, and someone may have told you I was once in a horrible band called The Beasts Of Bourbon, but THIS collection (Songs From My Black Cattle Dog) is more about Tex Perkins the singer/songwriter; Perko the storytelling balladeer; Tex the hung over melancholic philosopher...
