Home is where the heart and soul of country has always been, and for one of Australia's premiere country artists, Troy Cassar-Daley, home is certainly where his heart is - and it's the way he writes his best songs. Testament to Troy's passion for delivering songs which touch people's hearts, are the fans he has won and continues to win in the smallest communities to the biggest towns since the release of his debut album Beyond The Dancing. Now the ARIA winner's third album, Big River (named after his hometown of Grafton, NSW) continues the spirit of things homegrown and while still being truly Australian has a universal message to deliver. Troy wanted Big River Country to be a mixture of both True Believer and Beyond The Dancing, his previous two albums. Troy picked an all-star Australian cast of players including Stuart French, Michel Rose, James Gillard, Chris Haigh and Laurie Minson to record in Garth Porter's Botany studio. Apart from a brief writing trip to Nashville and a few piano parts, all of Big River Country was done in Australia.
