Let us present to you the second release from nu-jazz/bossa project The Moleskins; Bittersweet! The album is loaded with unique and personal interpretations of soulful classics from artists like Prince, Chaka Khan, Burt Bacharach, Donald Fagan, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Anita Baker, Portishead, Bobby Caldwell, Michael Jackson, Patrice Rushen and Donald Byrd.

Bittersweet is the follow-up to the debut album Dedication which was released in December of 2008. That first album as a whole, as well as individual tracks, were licensed worldwide through companies such as Bonnier Amigo, Third-Ear, High Note, S2S, Wagram and Music Brokers just to mention a few.

The Moleskins came out of an idea to bring new life to some of music history's much treasured or long forgotten songs. Led by Swedish vocalist Caroline Larsson Ekström, the Moleskins collaborate with various musicians and producers to keep the concept alive and evolving. The goal is to spread the vibe through recordings, releases and concerts on a global level.

Caroline Larsson Ekström has been featured on various releases during the past years. Her own projects include IOU; a collaboration with famed Danish producer Robin Hannibal of Owusu and Hannibal and Boom Clap Bachelors, PTH Projects; British electro-jazz producers Part Time Heroes, solo-project Cache Cache and soon to be released folk/americana duo The Harvest. Her voice has also been heard on tracks by Diesler, Modo Solar, Favorite Flava and LeftGuster.

Bittersweet is arranged, recorded and produced by multi-talented musician Jonne Bentlöv of renowned jazz-group Quiet Nights Orchestra.

The bonus disc included two remixes by Japanese producer Keigo Tanaka, a.k.a. DJ KGO. His blend of jazz/funk/house/pop can be experienced on successful compilations such as Chill Out Café on IRMA Records, Tokyo Nu School Of Jazz 2 as well as on his own mix-CD Couleur Café which has sold more than 60.000 copies.
