Emir Kusturica, winner of the Palm D'or for his film Underground, brings you Black Cat, White Cat, a bouncy, folksy farce about three generations of gypsy men and the women who love their shiny gold teeth.

This colourful, fast and farcical comedy of Gyspy life on the Danube develops a wide cast of larger than life characters, built around two octagenarian friends and feuding rivals, Girga and Zarje, and their families. Matko is a small time hustler, living by the Danube with his 17 year old son Zare.

After a failed business deal he owes money to the much more successful gangster Dadan. To complicate things, Dadan wants Matko to marry his sister, and this marriage of inconvenience is the last thing Matko wants.

A ribald, buoyant comedy, Black Cat White Cat is chock full of wild chases, skullduggery, faked deaths and double crosses that will lift your spirits and leave you dancing!
