In 1995, the Chicago indie-rock act Red Red Meat followed up its willfully quirky, well-received album JIMMYWINE MAJESTIC with an even stranger outing. Mixing acoustic and electric instrumentation with bold shifts in mood, the group unveils oddly hypnotic tunes that slowly reveal their ugly-duckling charm, as on the dark, Velvet Underground-like "Idiot Son."
