A.F.I.-Crash Love proves that the recent merging with Joe McGrath and Jacknife Lee, after cutting away from Bottrill, was a bold calculated move, well worth the ending results. Living up to its name, the album Crash Love, delivers a powerful outburst of their often times, graphic persona, when their first song, "Medicate", wormed its way into Guitar Hero 5 history.

The A.F.I-Crash Love cd, does a beautiful job of fitfully and hungrily feeding on the soul. The moody lyrical incantations of "Veronica Sawyer Smokes", knifes straight into the heart. Puget's fretwork is a thrilling, powerful electrical surge that destroys any doubt of his abilities to incite lustful, reckless abandonment.

Indeed, A.F.I truly fuels a fire inside; as Burgan and Carson stoke the flames ever higher in, "Too Shy To Scream". This unison of bone thumping pace methodically strips the last vestiges of unwillingness to move, from inert bodies. With the song, "Cold Hands", Havok's voice begins to feel like icy fingers, as they claw themselves down the spinal cord.

Havok's vocals once again aspire to evoke pathos of raw emotion, with his rendition of "It Was Mine", closing out another cd that leaves a haunting aura behind. The feeling of love's discontentment in his voice pushes the listener ever closer to inner-anguish, with the somber utterances of its ending strains.
