"We needed a place where we could express ourselves musically and bring together our friends" LOUIE VEGA.

'Dance Ritual' was founded in 1998 by two of dance music's most respected artists, Louie Vega and JOE CLAUSSELL.
They wanted to create a party without musical boundaries, where African, Jazz, Latin, Soul, Gospel, R & B and
Brazilian sounds would blend through house forms.

Now LOUIE VEGA has recorded a mix that captures this special feeling on the first ever Dance Ritual CD, featuring artists as diverse as NATALIE COLE, THIEVERY CORPORATION, DAVID BYRNE, STEPHANIE MILLS, MASTERS AT WORK, and original music by Louie himself.

The first pressing of this comp will include a bonus CD with a selection of tracks unmixed and available for the first time on CD format. It will also feature an enhanced CD-Rom with a short film about the night, gallery, sleeve notes and interviews with Ritualists and friends.
