Description:
HENRY KRIPS, leader of Melbourne crypto-country quintet WAGONS, could be compared to figures like JOHNNY CASH, LEE HAZLEWOOD, GENE CLARK or FRED NEIL. You could also compare him to NEIL DIAMOND, CONWAY TWITTY or even movie-matinee era ELVIS PRESLEY, and not be too far off! Henry wanted to create nothing less than an epic for their second album (first on SPUNK). String sections, session musicians, vocal quartets, special effects - no expense was spared to match the vision shining in Henry's mind. MACHINE TRANSLATIONS' J WALKER was called upon to help realise Henry's dream, coproducing and eventually mixing the finished album. The results are simply stunning. 'Draw Blood' presents Wagons in a stereoscopic grandeur only previously hinted at.
