The Drones gathered in a disused old factory space In Fairfield, VIC early 2010 on a sultry summer afternoon, to record an intimate live session of rarely played songs from their career that spans over thirteen years and five studio albums, including tracks Stop Dreaming, The Best You Can Believe In, Work For Me and Cold And Sober.For the Fairfield warehouse session the band were joined by old friend and regular hammond organ and keyboard player Steve Hesketh, who featured on The Drones LPs Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By And The Millers Daughter.A Thousand Mistakes is a peephole into the on stage life of The Drones. With over four and a half hours of footage, including a full live show from one of Melbournes favorite venues, The East Brunswick Club, filmed In 2010, and a bonus disc featuring rare live footage filmed 2005-2010, In Germany, France And Australia.
