Just as extreme-metal bands have taken to combining death-metal howls and clean/melodic vocals, a new wave of melodic hardcore has taken the scene by storm; the charge led in part by innovative acts Refused and Candiria. Building their own buzz in the seemingly unlikely locale of Tucson, Arizona, they subsequently joined the Vagrant Records family with the release of FOUND IN THE FLOOD. Under the production hand of Mark Trombino, intense staccato riffing and thrashy hardcore grooves crash into passages of surprising melodicism.
