The founding members of Chicago's Madina Lake Matthew and Nathan Leone - crawled through trenches, munching on cow parts, ingesting maggots and eventually being hospitalized when they appeared on the 'twins' episode of Fear Factor. The goal? To land the 50K prize money so they could record their demo.
Possessing a vision for creating hook-laden, pop culture-inspired punk rock, Madina Lake are named after the fictional 1950's town of the same name that is turned upside down when its most famous socialite, Adalia, mysteriously disappears.
Madina Lake are gaining a substantial following overseas particularly in the UK. Myspace and YouTube have also been instrumental in creating word of mouth about this new arrival and Australian punters are catching on quickly.
