A well-chosen anthology of Glen Campbell's work, spanning the '70s to his late '80s return to the country charts. Several of his big pop crossover hits are here--"Southern Nights," "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Country Boy"--but the bulk of the material is a lot more country-oriented.

The opening "Gone, Gone, Gone", for example, is a quasi-bluegrass tune with high lonesome harmonies and sensational electric guitar work (presumably by legendary Nashville session guy Reggie Young). Other highpoints include a beautiful duet with New Country star Steve Warriner ("The Hand That Rocks the Cradle"), and a characteristically tuneful ballad by longtime collaborator Jimmy Webb ("Still Within the Sound of My Voice").
