As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence then shows George what his town would have looked like it if hadn't been for his good deeds over the years. Will Clarence be able to convince George to return to his family and forget about suicide?

Of course, there's the requisite fun with the ladies, but the real adventure starts when Crosby & Kaye discover that they inn is run by their old army general who's now in financial trouble. And the result is the stuff dreams are made of.
