Released in 2004 at the same time as her album MY CUTE FIEND SWEET PRINCESS, the lo-fi songs here are typical Kimya Dawson fare: disingenuous, melodic, playful, and utterly captivating. Generally recorded with acoustic guitar backing and minimal accompaniment, the songs have a sweetly manic quality that suggest off-the-cuff writing and recording, but the sound quality does not suffer for its spontaneous capture.
