The Legacy is a CD that aims to capture the sprit of the self contained style soul, funk and fusion bands of the 70's and 80's. Something of a homage to the style that inspired the musicians on the recording. Lot's of brass over strong grooves accompanied by some funky chants as well as some more mellow and reflective tracks. Unlike their earlier associates, Light Of The World and Incognito Beggar & Co have despite hitting the national charts on previous outings, not released an album of new material for many years. This material is sure to receive some good airplay from the many stations playing this genre of music as well as the crossover stations already familiar with the band. Since recording and producing the 1999 album 'Inner Voices' as members of Light Of The World there has been very little in the way of recording from Beggar & Co. The musicians of Beggar & Co have spent much of the decade working with other artists, people like Tom Browne, Jean Carn and The Jones Girls and most recently the reformed Spandau Ballet.The CD consists of new recordings featuring some fine musicians from both the UK and USA with Innocence contributing vocals on track too.Also included is a bonus track of a previously unreleased 12 inch version of the hit recording 'Somebody Help Me
