In late 2010 Gregory Isaacs lost his battle with cancer and robbed reggae of one of its true icons. His distinctive voice was legendary with his unique suave style earning him the nick name 'the cool ruler' and helped establish the lovers rock genre. Most famous for the massive single 'Night Nurse', Isaacs amassed a massive catalogue throughout his career but it is his classic recordings for Alvin Ranglin's GG Records that many reggae enthusiast regard as his creative peak. This 2CD set collects the best of these recordings, including 'Love Is Overdue', 'Border' and 'My Number One', packaged in a slipcase. The set has been complied eminent reggae historian and writer John Misouri who has also written liner notes for the release.
