Description:
* Sascha Funke, the man with the coolest real name in dance music, dishes up deep minimal electronica on his second longplayer Mango. Mango is Ellen Allien's BPitch Control's first big release for 2008, and is described as "Partly hypnotic, partly tripped-out and with a tinge of melancholy". * It's been four years since Funke's debut artist album Bravo demonstrated his flair for wistful melodies and dreamy synths. Since then he's been concentrating on individual 12"s for BPitch Control as well as turning in a mix for the label's Boogybytes mix series. * Follow-up album Mango promises more of the same deep atmospherics as Bravo. Features vocal contributions from label mates Fritz Kalkbrenner, Zander TV and Sascha himself. * Sascha has been DJing since the late 90s and was influenced by Berlin based clubs E-Werk, Panoramabar and WMF and here interlaces deep minimal tracks with more pop orientated material to show just how far he has come as an artist. The opening sun drenched chords of Mango subdue us into the album with their warm glowing light leading the way across a downtempo house groove. Details:
