Texas-bred quintet Flyleaf are preparing to send rock pulsating through the veins of the masses as they unleash their second album MEMENTO MORI this autumn. Drawing inevitable comparisons with other female-fronted rock outfits such as Paramore and Evanescence, this new chapter sees Flyleaf confidently forge their own path, into bigger and bigger new areas. MEMENTO MORI is released on November 9th through A+M/Octone Records and is the follow-up to the band's 2005 platinum-selling self-titled debut release. To record MEMENTO MORI, Flyleaf again teamed-up with producer Howard Benson, who - in addition to Flyleaf's debut - is known for his work with Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance and The All-American Rejects. Flyleaf vocalist/lyricist Lacey Mosley, guitarists Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann, bassist Pat Seals and drummer James Culpepper have created a compelling blend of powerful guitars and soaring melodies on MEMENTO MORI. Having sold over 700,000 copies of their debut in the US alone, we are anticipating a strong US chart story when the album is released on 9th Nov. As shockwaves from this reach the UK rock community, and utilizing a video for album track 'Beautiful Bride' plus other digital tools in the Oct/Nov period, we will then service first single 'Again' on 23rd November, leading to a limited 7" vinyl and digital release in the UK on 4th Jan for this set-up, groundwork laying single. The first phase this side of xmas is therefore very much about building on their existing dedicated UK fanbase, engaging a dedicated rock street team, and consolidating efforts in specialist areas with various below-the-line activity, and making gains with the 'Again' release. We will then build on this momentum by servicing the lead single from the album, 'Missing', at the end of February 2010 for an end of March/early April single release date and main album repromotion phase. The band will come in for a comprehensive run of UK tourdates and promotion at this time, when further gains into new, crossover areas are targeted.
