Nick Cave formed the Bad Seeds following the end of his previous band Birthday Party. The Bad Seeds brought together former Birthday Party guitarist Mick Harvey (drums), ex-Magazine bassist Barry Adamson, and Einstürzende Neubauten guitarist Blixa Bargeld.
EMI Catalogue are to release the next instalment in a series of releases that will ultimately see the band's entire catalogue of studio albums digi-tally re-mastered and remixed for 5.1 Surround Sound for the first time since their original release.
Each deluxe edition contains the re-mastered stereo album, the new surround mix, a specially commissioned short film by UK artists Iain For-syth and Jane Pollard plus the b-sides from the singles, videos and ex-clusive sleeve notes.
The first studio album to be released for 4 years, no more shall we part offered up more of the reflective genius of the beautifully written songs on the boatmans call. No more the rock music of earlier NC&TBS re-leases. Gone is the arrogant swagger of the early albums, replaced in-stead by poignant melancholy, intimate accompaniments and bittersweet sophistication. The ethereal title track leaves listeners in awe, full of complex emotions, and pondering the notion that they've been in the presence of great redemptive art'.
