A Certain Frank is the working name for German electronica pioneers Kurt "Pyrolator" Dahlke and Frank Fenstermacher (Der Plan). 'Nothing' is the duo's third album proper, and it is a release that expounds modern pop music with astonishing beauty. Laden with thick grooves of trip hop and dub textures, and morphed into individualistic listening symphonies with the aid of Tosca (Kruder and Dorfmeister) drummer Mike Daliot, Amsterdam bassist Pascal Plantinga and vocalists Karin Knipphals and Mai Lingani. As with their internationally celebrated forerunner 'Nobody? No!', 'Nothing' has a definite lounge sentiment and is serious upbeat dub music for anyone who wants to hone in one of the sounds of 2001.
