Description:
This release was originally conceived as a possible bonus disc to go with the Version Originale album, with maybe 2 or 3 tracks. But as with other Lisa Miller projects, it evolved into something more than the simple idea it started with, and is now being released in its own right as an 8 track, album-length, budget-priced EP. The EP opens with the title track lifted from the Version Originale album, followed by a 9 minute remixed version. While made up of all the same components, this remix sees the song turned inside out and opened right up. Comparisons with Cinematic Orchestra and Four Tet would not be inappropriate. This is followed by 5 live tracks recorded while Miller was opening shows for Neil Young on his recent Australian tour. The recordings were made by Neil's son Zeke on the Neil Young mobile studio, and catch Miller and her amazing 6 piece band in full flight. The final track is a beautifully simple acoustic rendition of Gram Parsons' 'Hickory Wind', recorded during sessions for the Car Tape album. Track Listing:
