It’s mix of rock, dance, dub, gospel and more caught the zeitgeist of the early nineties to perfection and it went on to win the inaugural Mercury Music Prize in 1992 and consistently be named as “Best Album Of The Nineties” and appear in numerous “All Time Best Albums” lists.The 'Screamadelica Live' content was filmed on November 26th 2010 at London’s Olympia, the first time that Primal Scream had performed the whole album live and it became one of the “must see” gigs of the year.An added bonus is the 40 minute / 8 track rock set that opened the show featuring classic Primal Scream tracks including 'Country Girl', 'Rocks', 'Jailbird', 'Swastika Eyes' and more.The latest addition to the acclaimed Classic Albums series tells the story behind the making of this legendary album. There are contributions from all the band members, main producer Andrew Weatherall, Creation Records founder Alan McGee and many others involved in the creation of this masterpiece.The ’Classic Album’ element also contains 30 minutes footage that will not air on the TV broadcast.The CD is the complete ’Screamadelica’ album as it was performed at the Olympia. The band came to Australia on Big Day Out 2011 and toured the set, as well as playing major club shows. All reports were that the shows were amazing.
