Fifteen years since its original release Pat Metheny's Grammy Award winning 'Secret Story' has been expanded, remastered and repackaged with a bonus disc containing five previously unreleased tracks that composer and guitarist Metheny revisited and restored in the studio over the last year.
This remastered version of 'Secret Story' is more pastoral in tone than most of the original material and with a decidedly cinematic, orchestral feel these tracks are like the deleted scenes from a deeply evocative yet wordless narrative feature.
'Secret Story' see Metheny collaborating with Brazilian percussionist Nana Vasconscelos, Belgian harmonica player Toots Thielemans and members of the London Orchestra, as well as pianist Lyle Mays and bassist Charlie Haden.
