Having toured Australia together in August 2007, two of the hottest young bands in today's hardcore scene (Richmond VA's Down To Nothing & Byron Bay NSW's 50 Lions) formed a strong friendship resulting in joining forces again for this split release. Unlike many split releases, this split offers six brand new songs (three each band) which are exclusive to this release & showcase some of each band's best work to date.
Recorded with long time producer Jim Siegal at The Outpost (Outbreak, Have Heart, Blacklisted) Down To Nothing's influences range from Gorilla Biscuits to Judge, melding their energy & strength with a new-found melody. In 2007 they made their Revelation Records debut with "The Most" & the recently released "Unbreakable", a compilation of the band's earlier out-of-print albums.
Byron Bay's 50 Lions are one of Australia's hardest-working bands in Australia, having already logged extensive tours alongside bands like Parkway Drive, Down To Nothing, Terror, Comeback Kid, Her Nightmare & Carpathian. With the release of their debut album "Time Is The Enemy", 50 Lions soon became one of the most hyped bands in Australia & in June 2008 will embark on their first European tour. Their sound is as hard & strong as their work ethic taking influence from such bands as No Warning, Blacklisted & Terror.
