Description:
Pro tennis 'hot shot' Lizzie Bradbury ( Kirsten Dunst) is a rising star who lives to win. But when Lizzie finds herself falling for the soon to be retired, long-shot contender Peter Colt ( Paul Bettany), amid the glitz, glamour and champagne of the Wimbledon Championship, she discovers its not if you win or lose, but how you play the game of love. Wimbledon champions John McEnroe and Chris Evert and commentator Mary Carillo appear as themselves, providing commentary on the tournament play. With Australia's own Pat Cash, 1987 Wimbledon champion, serving as tennis consultant on the film, Wimbledon was granted unprecedented access by The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club to film during the 2003 championships. Also starring Sam Neill, Jon Favreau, Nicolaj Coster Waldau and Austin Nichols, Wimbledon is a deliciously witty romantic comedy about chasing your dreams and risking your heart, and is a fun and charming story about love across the net.
