Description:
King of the Ring started as a once-a-year tournament, held nearly every year from 1985-2002. From 1993, it was so popluar it was made into it's own Pay-Per-View live event, which lasted for 5 years. After a four year break, it has now returned to WWE Raw and SmackDown shows. King of the Ring is a single elimination tournament, where 2 Superstars battle against each other, and the winner goes through to the next round. The first round has 8 matches, so 16 Superstars compete to see who will be crowned King of the Ring. Past winners include: Randy Savage, "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Owen Hart, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Booker T & more.
