This is one of those books that hit you down deep. Very intense with wonderful life-like characters. I wouldn't really call it a novel, rather a character study. It is a great read, rich in culture, and it gives you a lot to reflect upon. It is life written down for the reader to see. There is also some good dark humor. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates a good book.

The narrative flows very nicely and is very descriptive. The characters are very real and believable, yet very original. It was highly interesting. I learned a lot from this book such as culture. I would highly recommend this book to every adult who loves a good book, although because of its graphic and intense situations and language, I wouldn't recommend it for children.

This book is steeped in popular culture. The characters are very developed, and although the subject matter is dark, it reveals a ray of hope. It is inspirational, yet not preachy. It depicts hardcore reality objectively, and ultimately, optimistically.
