This is how film should be - gritty and real without loads of filmic trickery. It's good to see a British gangster/heist movie without swathes of unnecssary violence that still manages to keep its edge - and keep you guessing.
A really fine cast without any superfluous "glamour" actors. This is honest, inventive and entertaining film making at it's best. BRAVO!

I was looking for an undiscovered gem of a thriller - and boy did I find one. After being disappointed on many occasions with UK Lock, Stock ripoffs, I was finally able to find a bank heist that actually paid off. I'd couple this with the recent pleasant surprise of 'The Bank Job' in that you get a film that surprises you with its era, setting, complex characters and interweaving threads. A nice touch to set the film in the 80's which rarely gets used nowadays. The film is a heady mix of nostalgia, comedy, thrills and a flippin' fine bank job... Highly recommended.

This is a knockout British movie with
a top drawer cast delivering superb performances in a bank heist story with many surprising twists and turns culminating with an audacious surprise ending. A must see!
