The amazing Kings Of Leon are back with their 3rd studio album 'Because Of The Times', their most diverse collection yet; Brimming with ideas, it represents a huge leap forward both in song-writing and musical prowess. This ground-breaking album finds the Followills (brothers Nathan, Caleb, Jared and their 1st cousin Matthew) opening up, relaxing the rules, and reveling in the joys of their newfound musical freedom. Though Caleb writes the majority of the lyrics, this was the 1st album where all four band members contributed equally and had a say in every song. The Followills turned to their long-time producers Ethan Johns and Angelo Patraglia in the recording of the album and this winning combination yet again delivers on a massive scale. 'Because Of The Times' will appeal not only to the Kings dedicated and loyal fanbase, but cross them over to an entirely new market for the very first time.

I was unsure about this album upon the first listen (as I am a fan of their earlier work) but this is their most complex, engaging effort and still is my most played album in my rotation.

This is one of those great albums you can listen to over and over. Fantastic in the car on the way to work but be sure to keep an eye on the speedo.

Although I own all the albums I was so pleasantly surprised by the brilliant song writing and melodies. They have surely cemented themselves as having an album of the year!
